A miracle occurs!!

I received my Coronado PST today and....It was still light out and...IT WAS BRIGHT SUNSHINE!!!

When was the last time you bought something through Astromart, or anywhere else, and been able to use it instantly???

My first impression? The PST is much better than a white light filter. I was looking through a lot of atmosphere at the sun and I could definitely see more than I ever could through a glass or mylar filter. I can't wait to use it when the sun is more overhead.

No Sun activity would be the most likely reason for this.

I had a miracle last year after I picked up my 14.5" Starmaster (on Good Friday).
The very next week end, I was blessed with very good skies, and went out
to the desert to a new spot I had been wanting to check out (Red Rock Canyon).
On short notice, an observing buddy agreed to join me. He brought his 18" Obsession,
which was the very scope that had inspired me to shop for a bigger Dob.
As a matter of fact, I was trying to find an 18" Obsession like his,
when I stumbled across (well, ok, Floyd pushed me! ) the Starmaster.
Sooo, only a week after buying it, I was able to directly compare the larger Obsession with my new Starmaster.
I walked away quite happy, which was a great relief, since I had labored extensively over the choice.
Perhaps not a miracle, but very fortuitous.
