Advise onTerrestial Mount for C-8

Just bought a C-8 OTA for viewing from my 28th floor balcony in Miami. I'd like to put it on a heavy duty tripod but have no idea what kind to get. Anyone out there actualy done this or know what I should do. Don't want to deal with expensive EQmount, motors and all that. Just want to look at moon and ships at sea.

That or making a dobsonian type mount on a stand.
