Wow, pretty big scope for someone that's new to astronomy

Wish I were that lucky...hehe. Anyways, I'd get a few books before you start buying eyepieces and such. Start with Terence Dickinson's "Nightwatch", maybe read through some astronomy magazines and books at a library. It'll really help explain some things. Also, find out if there is a local astronomy club near you, that's the best way to learn.
As for eyepieces... depending on what you'd like to spend, there is a WIDE range of possibilities. Most people will agree that your "Top of the Line" eyepieces would be from Televue, Pentax, some of the Meade and Celestron lines. For more modest budgets, any of the Meade Super Plossls, Celestron Ultimas, Parks Optical Plossls, University Optics Orthos... will all be great starts. If you're not looking to spend much more money, look into used eyepieces on astromart, or the lower priced (but still decent) ones from Orion, Harry Siebert, GTO...
As you can see, it isn't something you can just hop into

I'd do some research and try to figure out how much time and money you can invest before a wife, girlfriend or family decides to disown you.
