Broken front Glass on 8" LX10 SCT

Is it real hard to replace the front 8" glass on a 8" LX10 SCT? And where will I be able to Find or buy one? The collimation mirror and 3 screw Assembly is in one piece. A miracle! Everything else works OK, I believe If the LX10 would have fallen on the grass, It might have just gotten a bad dent or grass stains, but It fell on the Pool Deck. I do want to repair It. Any Ideas?

Yes, it is very hard. You have three choices near as I can tell:

1) Buy a complete replacment optics set from Meade + installation for about $500

2) Buy a used Meade 8" OTA and swap it out; watch out for old mirror coatings

3) Contact Al Misiuk at Sirius Optics to see if he can make you a new corrector plate to match your primary.

Good luck!
