Does anyone supply an 1/4-20 camera mount adapter for a celestron cg-4 ? What a strange design on the cg-4???I'd like to mount a Takahashi clamshell on the cg-4...any help, thank you.

I think the easiest method would be to drill two holes in a piece of metal bar, and then mount the 1/4-20 to some point on the bar. The metal bar just mounts to the CG-4's head at the two attachment points with simple 1/4" bolts.
I did something similar to the top mounting ring points on my CG-4 mounted refractor. The 1/4-20 camera mount is a simple hex bolt installed thread upward, with a lock nut to keep it from turning. An inverted wing nut then secures the underside of the camera as a jam nut so nothing rotates once it's in position.
