Defective Orion 80ED???

HI!

I just received my Orion 80ED (10/21). Only took 10 days from time or order. The scope arrived in great shape. However, I noticed that when the focus tube is extended, there are numerous marks/scratches extending down the length of the tube...nothing major, but easily observable and felt.

AND

As smooth as the focuser is, there are a few "tighter" spots...not much, but discernable.

Is this the norm? Or should I send for a replacement?

You don't have the focuser locking screw tightened down, do you? This could scratch things up a bit.
