Denatured Alcohol for mirror cleaning

Home Depot and Loews does not sell 91 proof alcohol for mirror cleaning. What they do sell is S-L-X Denatured Alcohol. There is no percentage on the can. This alcohol is used as a fuel for marine stoves and they advertise it also for cleaning glass. Is this ok to use on the mirror?

I suppose, but why? Good old warm water with a bit of liquid dish soap has always worked for me on mirrors up to 20". Then a rinse with distilled water with a couple drops of Photoflo (wetting agent used in washing film negatives) and stand it on edge to dry. Depending on size, I've done it in the kitchen sink or a bathtub. Put several towels on the bottom first for the mirror to lay on.

I wouldn't use anything I wasn't 100% sure about. Other than Don's method of cleaning, another good way is using Collodian USP. You can find information on it if you do some searches.
