I inventoried my equipment today and came up with these ratios which may be of interest, relative to total cost of equipment accumulated past 9 years:

mounts & tripods: 37%
eyepieces and filters: 28%
optical tubes: 27%
all other: about 8%

This is for visual use only.

Also for visual use only... and these figs are pretty rough because it's actually been a few years since building:

Mirrors, cells and spiders: 50%
Eyepieces, barlows, filters: 35%
Plywood, paint, nuts/bolts, sonotubes, bearings, handles, etc.: 15%?

Greg
I would guestimate:

Mounts & tripods: 28%
Optical tubes: 28%
CCD Imagers, filters, adaptors: 28%
Eyepieces, diagonals, visual adaptors: 10%
Building with slide off roof, materials cost only: 6%

This is for visual and imaging.
