Ive been using a Nikon Manual SLR 35mm camera for a few months now. Sunday I bought a Nikon Coolpix 3100 3.2megapixel Digital Camera. The more I learn to use, the more I love it.

Its got some features Im having issues with, like apparently no way to turn the "autofocus" off, and I need to find a way to mount it to the scope. (right now Im just holding it up to the eyepiece, which is fine for the moon, but when I get serious, its not going to be a good way of doing things haha).

Shaun, nice job on the shot for being handheld. As for coupling it to a telescope, there are plenty of adaptors available. Check out Scopetronics.com and of course Anacortes/Astromart.

For the autofocus, set it to Infinity (the mountain icon...at least for the CP4500). On the 4500 you can also set manual focus, but I just set it to the mountain icon and focus the telescope.
