Hi Randy,
It appears you and I are at about the same crossroads. Here is what I did after much consideration and many emails from various people on the same subject. The concensus seams to be as follows.
I ordered an Astro-Physics SCT - 2" adapter and an AP 2"-1.25" adapter I am going to get a 2" refractor syle mirror diagonal. I plan on using the 2" eyepieces for just the wide angle stuff and using 2"-1.25" adapter and 1.25" eyepieces on the mid and high power stuff.
The reasoning is that it appears that unless you have 10" SCT or larger you will really not get full benefit of Super-Ultra-Wide angle eyepieces anyway. Reason being the opening and the baffle in the C9.25" is only about 1.5" wide. So anything much over 36mm is going to be wasted anyhow and a C9.25" @f/10 is just really not a wide angle scope. Also, $$$ is an issue and why waste it on 2" stuff when you really won't get a benefit from it. Further, you run the risk of not enough back-focus with all the 2" stuff. My stuff will be here hopefully before the weekend and I can give you a more "hands-on" opinion.
Good Luck and let me know what you figure out. We can compare notes.
