Anyone had any experience with this 2 inch eyepiece from Hands On Optics? I currently enjoy a TeleVue 32mm Plossl as my low power eyepiece. I was thinking of selling it in favor of the Proxima with a f.o.v of 71 degrees. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm not quite ready to step up into the Nagler/Panoptic price range just yet. Thanks, Luis De Vivero

I've owned one and it was a good eyepiece for the price. I would say best results are gotten by far with a flat field; a slower f/ratio newt or moderate speed refractor would be the best bets for it. Edge correction is very poor in fast f/ratios/curvy fields. In the right scope it's very nice for the price. I will say it does require a lot of backfocus. Any other questions feel free to ask

Works well in a 8"SCT f10.

Luis,
I too have owned one of these eyepieces and they perform very well, sharp accross the entire field in my 8" lx200. What I didn't like and finally made me sell it was the constant blackouts/kidney bean effect. I found it to be very picky about eye position and ended up purchasing an Apogee widescan 32mm that I have been very happy with, except for the somewhat soft edges.
