Jon, do I remember correctly reading a post of yours that said you had traded your Orion 80 ED for another refractor? If so, what compelled you to make the move? Optics, or mechanics? Thanks for any response you have time to make.

Larry: I sent you a detailed Private Message.

The short story is that I was more than happy with the ED-80, I enjoyed the optics and was comfortable with the mechanicals but I happened upon quite a deal on an 80mm WO Megrez II FD so I went for it.

If that "deal" had not come along, i would still be happily viewing the night sky with the ED-80.
