Hi all -- I am giving up the hobby and need to sell my Paramount ME (circa 2005) and my Meade 16" LX200 (R) (circa 2007)-- Both have been housed in an observatory and are in excellent condition and used very little for the last 4 years. I have no idea what a fair asking price for these would be. I'd really appreciate it if someone could suggest a reasonable starting point for me ?

Thanks,
Dan

Not sure about the LX200, but I bought a used Paramount ME in great condition here for $11k a year ago. That price seems to be (or was at that time) fair.

Used stuff in excellent condition (no issues, no major cosmetic
problems) seems to go for 75% to 80% of new prices. Availability
can also influence price either way -- higher for rare items,
lower for common ones.

You can also use Astromart "Search Classifieds" for previous
sales. For example a similar Paramount ME appears to have
sold last year:

Similarly a Meade 16" LX200R:

Auction is also a possibility. Set the reserve price to the minimum you'd ever accept for it. Good luck!
