Hi I just got a TV-85 and the focuser does not want to come out after the first 1-2mm's. The tension screw on top is all the way lose. I don’t want to force it any. Keep in mind that I just got it vie UPS but it does not appear that there is any physical damage to the scope. Any ideas?

Look underneath the focuser where the "tracks" are. Do you
see anything binding?
Was this a new TV-85 or used off Astromart? If new, I suggest you call Tele Vue at (845) 469-4551 and use one of the benefits of owning a Tele Vue scope: service (call them even if the scope is used).

Well here is the problem. My father managed to do what I could not(got to love your parents) and got the focuser to come out. There was an impact probably during shipping on the left focus knob and the gear rail that is on the focus tube got bent from that(see pic). I got into contact with the guy that I bought the scope from and we are trying to work out a solution. I will keep you all posted on how this works out and I will have a mini review of the scope up ether late today or tomorrow. Thank you all for your help.
