Lens Recoating???

I am looking into a used 4" refractor. This would be my first and I was wondering if the cell and lens can be sent out to be striped and recoated with better quality coatings??

If yes...... How much?

Bruce- I asked the same question a few pages back and hears what I got. E-mail Barry at dgoptical.com and also siriusoptics.com. I have a 6" refractor lens that I may have recoated eventually and will probably go with Sirius optics. I'm sorry but I didn't follow up on the prices. I'd be interested to know what they would charge you for multicoating your lens.I would suspect $200-250. Gerry
