Making a Binocular Mount

I'm interested in making a monopod with a binocular adapter. I know that most tripods have a 1/4-20 screw for mounting scopes, etc. But, does anyone know what size the screw is that needs to go into the front of binoculars? 8O Is it the same?

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

It is probably the same, 1/4-20, some professional tripods use a 3/8"dia post, but you'd be able to tell the difference pretty easily. Take a trip to your local hardware store and try some in the screw aisle, sometimes there are different threads, but in your case, it should be 1/4-20.
