Meade lxd-650 mount

Does anyone have any experience with this mount and would they recommend buying a used one in excellent condition.
I am told the mount is (5) years old, but have also been told it would be very difficult to get repaired, if need be.

Hi Victor,
I had one and it made a good mount for visual use. Parts are not available for the LX200 Classic style mounts, which this mount is a member. So, hand controllers and electronics are not available from Meade, so repairs are difficult if not impossible.

I had one back in 1997 and had alot of trouble with it. The computer would do funny things and the scope would hit the tripod. There is no way i would touch one now days.
