Does anybody out know about any problem with these scopes. I watch astromart and have seen the price fall from $2500 which nobody seemed to be buying at to $2200-$2300. Now this weekend I saw two going for around$2000 with some acces. thrown. Just want to know I there some sort of problem with these scopes. Was thinking of buying one which will be out of the warranty period. Thanks Kevin

I dunno; I've been seeing those also and wondering why. Mine is great. I've had 10" and 12" LX200 Classics and this one is the one I'm keeping. I read the NexstarGPS Yahoo Group regularly (you might want to check it out) and there don't see m to be any horror stories. Just make sure the hand controller is at least 1.6 and the motor controllers are at least 3.0; earlier versions can't be updated by the user. Actually, none of 'em can just now, but C has been promising this capability "real soon now".
