For the given aperture, which one? How about the Sirius filters?

Hi Mike,
I have the Lumicon O111 and I was looking at a perfect Veil Sunday morning, not to mention the Ring. Lumicon makes good stuff.

Hi Michael, This is a cut and paste of what I posted for Jarno in the "LPR filter light throughput" thread. It was posted in reguards to a 6" scope but you will experience similar results because I did my test with a C8.

""Jarno, I had the oppertunity to do a side by side comparison with someone elses Orion Ultrablock and my Lumicon O111. The O111 had better contrast and was a tad brighter. They do darken the back round quite a bit. I've used the UHC in the past but not side by side with the O111. From what I can remember the UHC had a brighter back round and slightly less contrast. IMHO, I think the UHC or the Skyglow would be the ones to look at for a 6" scope"".

Hope this helps in your decision.
