Orion Intelliscope 6" F-5 Question

After reading favorable reviews of the Orion 6" F-5 by Ed Ting and others, I called Orion tech support to see if its computer would align in the southern hemisphere, and more specifically in Israel. One customer service rep told me he didn't think so while another he referred me to said he didn't know and is deferring an official response to their head tech who is supposed to call me back on Monday.
Now I realize this is the astromart and responses are sparse but does anybody know?
PS Please don't refer me to that other website with it steady state expanding universe of the big bang of bullshit. Thank you...

If you go to Orion's website and look up the Starblast 6i you can read the manual (go to the bottom of the StarBlast page and follow the link to tech support). Near the end of the manual you'll find four finder charts for alignment stars. A few are visible from the southern hemisphere, so you should be able to align the scope. It looks like the database is pretty limited in southern hemisphere objects, but I think you can tell the IntelliScope computer to display current coordinates, so if you have an old-fashioned list with object coordinates you would be all set.

Can't speak to it working in the southern hemisphere. But it certainly should be fine in Israel as it resides in the northern hemisphere.
