Orion Zoom Eyepiece?

Has anyone tried one of the Orion zoom eyepieces, they have a couple of models 1 1/2 inch format. adjustable from 7 to about 30mm. has anyone tried these, are they worth a hoot?

They should be in 1.25" format, but I know what you're talking about. I don't know about a 7-30mm one, but the 8-24mm Premium one for something like $199 is almost identical to the Meade or Televue 8-24mm. The cheap ones probably wouldn't be worth the money. If you can find one used, like the TV or Meade (I got mine for $115), they are a great star party and "fill in the gaps" type of eyepiece. Not premium level like a Radian or anything, but excellent for just general observations.
