Assuming you want to stay around $1k, a C-9.25 would
be excellent choice, as already suggested.

An 6" Mak-Newt (INTES MN-61) would also be good, but
6" is a little small for deep sky.

I would be a little weary of scopes that are
"coming out" as new products may have
issues / long delays / etc. unless the company has
a really good track record.

Try a Meade AR-6 or Celestron 6"C6R, refractor ota with a matching chromacorr from www.astrobuffet.com for visual use you get near apo performance for much less money, your mount will easily handle either ota.

A good plan. Burgess Optical, while they are well intentioned seem to have difficulty getting products to the market place on time. Check out the Burgess Optical forum.

But, that said, the BO, 127F8 refractor could be a good choice. Mechancially the BO scopes are significantly better than their Meade/Synta counder parts with really quite nice focusers and machined cells.

Add a Chromacorr and you would be in business.
