Is it just me, or are there a lot more "fire sales" going on to liquidate? I wonder if there could be such a thing as an Astromart Pawn Shop...someplace where stuff is stored until the owner can put him/herself back on their feet.

Humm, not sure I would call it a fire sale, however it does seem that folks cannot sit on a scope and need to sell it quicker to pay for a new scope. As a result it does seem that those folks are willing to lower the price for a quicker sale. All my equipment is paid for so it cost me nothing to sit there, unless of course someone needs the money wrapped up in equipment to feed the kids or pay bills. I have seen some very nice equipment going for very attractive prices lately.

I notice some good prices on used scopes, but they are just not moving very fast.
I had a heck of a time selling my C6 OTA, also there is a glut of used C6 so maybe that was case for me having such a hard time selling it.
But i see the same scope ads over and over, some are priced very good and no one is snapping them up. There are also a few scopes with insane high asking prices like a C11 ad i keep seeing.
It's for sure time to buy. Maybe the selling part will pick up when things better.

People sell their equipment for a variety of reasons. We should all sympathize, however, for those who must liquidate their prized possessions out of necessity. The bigger question is what is ahead of us and will our leaders have the wherewithall to deal with. These are scary times indeed.
