I am considering having a 15" Galaxy mirror recoated, but have never had recoating done before. I will appreciate testimonials concerning where I should go or not go to have this work done. Thank you.

Zambuto uses Nova. The owner is an optician. I haven't seen any complaints about his service.

L and L is also considered very good.
Spectrum is also considered very good, but I have heard some concerns about his being slow on occasion.

(Just to give you some options--this is a question with a number of right answers.)

Spectrum did a mirror for me in 2001 and their work has held up well. IIRC the turnaround time (including the two-way UPS ground shipping) was several weeks, but I wasn't in any hurry.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the responses. I value your experience and judgment. It is one of those things that I hope to not need to do again, and am glad to be steered in a direction. I agree, too, there are likely various good options, I am just knew to this and knew almost nothing to base a decision on. Thanks again.

I have 3 mirrors with Nova coatings. They are all great.
