Stupid question about solar observing

I am a complete novice to solar viewing. I have a routine white light filter and enjoy it. However, I see these mega expensive H-alpha solar filters/telescopes advertised from time to time and the pictures look intoxicating.

Is there any advantage to having an night sky h-alpha filter on the eyepiece (the kind lumicon and others sell) in conjunction with a white light solar filter in front of the telescope? I understand it wouldn't rival the expensive filters but could it put more detail into the surface of the sun?

Lumicon warns against solar visual viewing with the filter, but I think that is direct viewing.
Is it dangerous?
Anyone ever tried it?

The H-alpha filters for imaging deepsky objects are totally different than the ones designed for solar use. The only thing they have in common is the name. Neither one can be used for the purposes that the other can. It would be better if they had different names. Then this subject would be put to rest permanently.
