Best way to troubleshoot this rig? RA drive - 8 c batteries - do not have any indication of power on the hand control(no lights) Thanks for thoughts

Impossible to say without havin' at least a clue to what "this rig" is.

HOWSOMEEVER...Step one in troubleshooting ANYTHING is always to determine you have an adequate power source and a good connection to it.

hi kevin,
i'd start with a voltmeter and test the voltage at the plug before anything else. maybe you'll get lucky.
