Using Meade Superwedge on a fixed pier?

Is there any device (adapter?) which will allow me to use a Meade Superwedge on a home built fixed pier? I'm trying to install a LX200 -10" into a Technical Inovations Robo-Dome.

Thanks in advance,

Tom Hise

I have a fixed pier made from 6" schedule 40 pipe. The top is capped with 1/2" steel plate and a 4" round handhole cut in the in side about 6" down. The top has a 1/2" hole in the center for a 1/2" bolt that comes up through the center of the wedge and is tightened with a nut. I can access the bolt through the handhole when tightening. the top also has three 5/16 tapped holes for the lock down screws for the wedge.

Hope this helps.

Tom,

I have no idea what kind of pier you're trying to make, but Dans Pier Plates work very well. I have on in my observatory. It's attached to a 12" concrete pier, worked great.

that's the page for his site. I have some pictures of mine during construction if you want to look. Good luck.
