Hi:

I am wondering what to do with the remains of a 16inch Meade Starfinder DOB I have stripped and converted into a strut scope. I can't imagine anyone has any interest in this but I thought I would try it on Craiglist.

Some possible uses:

1. A temporary culvert

2. A toy cannon

3. A fake water heater for a stage prop.

4. A look out post for a bank guard...

5.???

I think it is headed for the dump :-(

Paint it desert sand and sell it to the military as a missle launch tube. Probably get $20K out of em for it. Tell them you can supply all they need at that price. grin

Hello, Jon,
I always enjoy your posts. I find your judgment very good and I hope people listen to you.
You may be interested to know that Guilford, the eminent testing psychologist, has as one of his tests of creativity, inventing unusual uses (hence the name of the test, Unusual Uses) for everyday objects such as a brick or a spare tire.
You seem to be doing quite well by this criterion.

Take it back to its original purpose. Pour concrete in it.

We had a couple of those, and they were used as forms for pier bases, and a bases for the roll off roof supports.

1. Make a kitty condo (vertical maze) with internal shelves for a cat to climb and windows to look out.

2. A Giant Estes model rocket.
