Which OIII Filter....

So NEAF is comming up and I have a little extra money in my pocket to burn on some filters. Please give me your oppinions as to which you like better than others and why. I like observing Planatary Nebula so the filter would have to be able to withstand some magnification without to much image breakdown. I use a 15" Obsession for observing.

Thanks.....

I find the Orion O-III to be a good filter and a low price. It seems to work as well as any other O-III that I have tried, including Lumicon.

I did a comparison a couple years ago between Astronomik, Lumicon, and Televue O3 filters. I liked the Astronomik the best.

The differences were small, but I thought the Astronomik took magnification a little better than the Lumicon. This was important to me because I use a filter slide, which makes the optical imperfections a little more obvious because the filter is farther from the focal plane.

I thought the Televue filter was more like the Astronomik UHC filter.

my 2 cents,
Kevin

Thanks for all your help everyone. I think I'm going to go for the Orion. It seems to be the best buy for the money. I would love to purchase the Astronomik, but the extra $75 is not in the budget right now.
