Has anyone tried the new William Optics 8x42 APO binos? I am intrigued by the APO designation - makes them sound like some high end sweeties at a good price (!). Just wondering how they perform.

Can't say that I've ever been bothered by chromatic aberration in lowly "non-apo" 8x42 binos. I mean, these aren't for tracing delicate festoons on Jupiter.

But I'm curious about pretty much everything Williams Optics puts out, they've got a good track record for quality and value. But the "apo" designation seems like marketing hype for 8x42 binos!
