Well, so many things to comment about!

First, sorry, but I do not believe in the lens pen. Anything that you use more than once to me is not good. Use it and through it away! No contamination going from one EP to another.

Second, cleaning in the field should never be done, if the EP gets a finger, take it home an clean it. Of course this is easier to do if you have more than one EP with you. grin If you absolutely have to, then the first rule still applies, use once and through away materials only. You can blow the lens as clean as possible and use a Zeiss Cloth if you have to do so. But really not a good idea to do this often.

Third, cleaning with Zeiss Cloths I like, they work for me if I am at a site in the day time where I can see what I am doing or at home. Opti Wipes as recommended by Roland are very good with a little cleaner or alcohol.

Forth, Lens cloths of the type, Micro Fiber, or any other type like this, NO!. I have some here that I purchased. Professional use only and not available to the public. They still can get grit on them and scratch a lens! Again, use once and through away only materials. They are good for eyeglasses however and I use them all the time for that. wink
