so my 80ED came in today, C8 is gonna take a while, but i was super lucky to get out and have great conditions, though time was limited. My very first observations were Andromeda, Orion's nebula, and the pleades, and they were great. So much so that I have officially got the fever, and the only prescription is more detail!!! All i could afford for the time being was a 32mm Plossl, the 20mm that cam with but its kind of crappy, and a 2x ED barlow. Im wanting more detail and closer views without having to spend as much as i paid for the scope just for one, any suggestions on types, sizes, or brands. Appreciated! Im going to go catch saturn.
im hooked, what next

How about some TMB/BO Planetary EPs, maybe a 5mm and 9mm? Used, about $75, new $99 each. Or if your not bothered with close eye relief, a couple of UO Orthos, used $40-45 or new $60 each.
Clear, crisp planetary views with these.
You could also use Plossls for this, they work well.

I like my Orion Ultrascopics better than my friend's UO orthos. You might consider getting 15mm or so. Eye relief will start getting tight, and the fov is about the same as a plossl. Siebert Optical also makes some pretty good eyepieces in several price ranges. Check the reviews in Astromart and Cloudy Nights.

I'd second the BO/TMB Planetary as a great choice. Maybe the 7mm (assuming the 20mm barlowed you have works well - otherwise the 9mm), then you could barlow it for 3.5mm which might be your practical limit for an 80mm (depoends on your fl).
