I have a LX-90 SCT and have owned it for about a year now. I also own all the Televue plossl's from the 8mm to the 40mm along with the 2X Televue Barlow. I'm looking to upgrade to a Radian with Mars coming an I'd like to know what Radian should I go after first? At almost 200 bucks used here on Amart I have to go one at a time. Appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks

Bob,

IMO unless you are in an area where seeing and transparency is typically good, the 10mm or 12mm would be your best bet. They would give you around 200x and 170x respectively with decent FOV. You could always use your barlow when seeing permits. It sounds as though you don't want to purchase an eyepiece that gets very little use.

I own the 4, 8, 12, and 18mm Radians. I use these with a N11GPS and FS-102. The 4mm is exclusively for the Tak FS-102 and the 8mm thru 18mm will be used on both. I don't expect that I will get much out of the 8mm on the N11, but the FS-102 should get plenty of use from it.

Well, Robert that depends on the magnification you seeing would allow on Mars. Does the seeing support your 8mm Plossl currently? If so the 8mm Radian would be a good start, followed by the 6mm Radian.
