Has anyone checked out the storage shed on "thinkingoutside.com" 8) I am seriously considering using this as an observatory (7'X 11'deluxe model.) The roof is held on by a few thumbscrews and can be lifted off and set on the other roof section. $698.00 at sam's club, floor included.

I have a very small plastic cabinet that's like this. While it's pretty sturdy when assembled, the roof is an major part of what gives the building strength. Without the roof it the walls will start to fall over in even the lightest wind.
Just something to consider. I know some people use these, but I'm sure they use something to hold the walls rigid when the roof is off.

The CC&R nazi's would have a cow at my development in Arizona. I'm lucky to get by with a Robo Dome.

Does anyone remember the original question? We went a long way from a $500 plastic shed to a $10K wunderhaus. Has anyone actually used one of these plastic sheds? I have a Rubbermaid shed that I use for my garden equipment - the sides are REASONABLY secure with the roof and doors open. It's not tall enough for my 11" SCT, though, and it's a lot smaller than the shed mentioned here.
The Pier-Tech website has pics of their offering (the big one). Even with the Pier-Tech 2 pier $10K seems high. Nice, but pricey.
