This looks like the beast I want...any one had a look at this item yet, the CGEM Computerized Mount? Am contemplating with the C9.25 OTA for visual and possibly imaging purposes. Thoughts appreciated.

Have not heard enough on them in actual use, but I have read a little. Some concern over PE and unguided images and one fellow received a DOA mount. Noise levels are higher than a CGE and said to be a little noisy, but not too bad.
However, it is not a lot of money and seems like a nice mount.

If you're doing 100% visual, then almost any mount will do for a C9.25.

If you want to kill your interest in astrophotography quickly, then these kinds of mounts will do that for you. Get a Losmandy G11 for the C9.25, not because of its weight, rather because a 9" telescope is a very formidable instrument when it comes to imaging. In order to steer it to 1 arc second levels, which this scope is capable of, you will need a precision mounting. On the other hand, if you will be imaging with an 80mm short refractor, then just about any cheap mount will do.

This mount should be sufficient for the 9.25. I say "should be" because this is a new piece of gear. The similar Atlas is being used quite successfully for imaging with mounts in this size/weight range.
