My Astronomy Club is trying to sell some of its equipment for something a little more user friendly for our observatory.

Heres a list of the equipment. The toughest decision is trying to decide how much its worth. About how much do you think we should be expecting?

6" Astrophysics EDT F/9 (1991-1993 model)
Losmandy G11, NO POLAR SCOPE
Tripod and counter weights, legs are not height adjustable
6" mounting rings and base plate
3 axis camera adapter
All functional electronic for G11
A/C adapter for G11
Electric focuser for scope
Dew controller
Dew strap for 6" scope
Adjustable dew strap for 1.25" and 2" eye pieces
Televue 90 degree diaganol
Telerad
One focal extender for diaganol
One focal extender for camera adapter
Type 2 solar filter (supposed to be for photography only, we were warned)

Your 155mm EDT should be worth at least $8,000 USD if in excellent condition.

You might want to post your query in the Astro-Physics forum here for more responses.

In what way do you find this equipment not "user friendly?"?

If I were going to sell a telescope this rare and valuable I would search the classified ads here on astromart for a good ball park value, and then place an auction with the ball park number as a reserve.

I too think that selling the 6" AP is not going to greatly enhance the ease-of-use factor for beginners. A lot of good points have been made above in that regard. Gemini is very easy to use after a day of practice, although a novice would be frustrated if they tried to walk in from the cold and navigate the menus without any instruction. the same could be said for any go-to mount though.
