Is it just the winter or is everyone cashing out of astromy. Seems there are more AP refractors for sale New than I have ever seen.

Yeah when AP starts shipping out scopes it seems that the “Off” brands (TEC, TMB, Tak) all start appearing but the new in the box AP stuff is even more surprising.

In case you haven't noticed, the U.S economy is teetering on depression. Cash is king, and nice as they are apo refractors can't pay debts -- until they are sold and converted to cash. 8)

We are also shipping a large number per month, more then ever since we increased our production facility.

I just looked at the last 2 weeks of refractors offered for sale here on AM, as far as I could see there were two, one was a Traveler, one was a 140 from 2007...

I guess you must be looking somewhere else or I am missing something.

Seems alot of people are hurting for money and AP scopes seem to be a money maker when selling them. I would never pay the high prices people ask for AP scopes.

Not knocking AP as i know full well there is no better refractor being made and Roland will do whatever it takes to make anything right if need be. I got lucky back in the late 90's and picked up a 6" F/9 AP for under $1800. I don't image so a Newt works better for my needs.
