mirror re-coating

I need to get my RV-8 mirrors re-coated. Al Misiuk re-coated them for me about 5 months ago and the coating is coming off already. I am wondering who's best at doing this, Clausing or Spectrum coatings?

Send them to Spectrum. There have been problems with Clausing too.

I too can recommend Spectrum. Especially now that they are an A-Mart sponsor. I have used them and my mirror came back pinhole free, opaque, and with the figure preserved. A-1 communications with the man in charge also.

Clausing has done all my coatings. My 8" took 1 month to get back and my matched 6" mirrors took 4 days. There prices are almost 1/2 that of Spectrum for the coating I used and they have been coating for many years. This 8" mirror I have had for 2 years and looks as good as it did when it was coated. Here is the picture of my 8".
