Rick Shaffer

Did anyone else here lose money to Rick trying to buy bearings he was selling last Nov? He has a couple hundred bucks of mine and won't return emails or phone calls. I managed to catch him on the phone earlier this week, and he said he'd "call me right back" as if he were in the middle of something. He never did, and still ignores my calls. If anybody else is having a similar experience, I'd like to hear about it (and what actions you took).

I'm also still waiting for my bearing from Rick. There have been a few posts from folk who received their bearings after a long delay so he appears to be making an effort.
A medical problem knocked him out of commission so I'm still waiting patiently. He's been a very solid contrbutor to Astromart forums and has sold a variety of interesting astro stuff in a very timely manner. I give him the benefit of the doubt -- could really use the bearing though.
Let's hope he's well enough soon to conclude the bearing issue and get back to active participation in Astromart affairs.

Hello Everyone,

I have just finished a 35 minute conversation with Rick...He is getting better and shipments to the last remaining people that purchased bearings from him should be on the way shortly...Please give this a few weeks...say 3-4 weeks...

Providing of course that he does not have further events...

He has been very under the weather...I will not go into details, but do believe what he has told me...under the circumsatnces...and I would not wish what he has been through on anyone!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this cools off this debate........

PS I have never met Rick, but plan to in the coming months...he is truely a fine gentleman...
