Tonight is another opportunity to see most of the Messier objects in one night. Only M104, M68, and M83 have no chance of being observed. It is especially challenging since the Virgo galaxies come up just before sunrise! Our club is having an event and here's a link to observing logs and charts: http://astrotulsa.com/pub/FallMessierMarathon2006.pdf

Enjoy and good luck!

To each his own, maybe the thrill of it has some appeal, I consider the idea a novel one as most nights I might only see or at least concentrate on 7 or 8 them as most are not in range or blocked by something. To be able to see almost all in one viewing is truly a marathon, I think the idea has it's own appeal and as i said before to each his own.
The list on the .pdf file was nice to have, I printed it out and it was much appreciated and I thank you Tom.

Greg
