Mounts for a Celestar 8

Hey all,

I purchased a Celestar 8 without mount or tripod, and was wondering if ANY wedger or tripod would work for me, or are the mounts relativelty specific for my application.. ( as in: DO I need a specific Celstar8 wedgepod?)

Pretty sure any of the older Celestron mounts/wedges will work fine for you. I had a C8Deluxe and it mounted up fine on a regular Celestron wedge and several different older C8 tripods. These will be better than the Wedgepod that was sold with the Celestar.

The bolt pattern for the Celestar drive base and the older Grey cast forks are the same.
