Polycarbonate Eyeglasses, Contacts, or...???

Hello all!

So I am in the market for some eyepieces, and I am trying to figure out how big of a deal eye-relief is going to be for me. Since I am an eyeglasses wearer, I would like to know what others experiences are.

What is better for less color, and more sharpness:

1. Contact lenses (soft)
2. Polycarbonate eyeglasses (no astigmatism, ~-3.75)
3. or...just resign myself to blindness and focus for my short-sightedness?

Any help is appreciated!

I wore contacts for the first few years, and last Sept. I had VISX (Lasik surgery with a slightly different eximer laser) performed and I can see perfectly. No halos, no dryness or any other side effects that some report. Each person reacts differently though.

If, as you say, you have no astigmatism, then you ought to not be using glasses when you observe. It just becomes an issue of adjusting the focus. The worst case scenario is if you often observe with a companion, and they have to refocus. But then everyone refocusses anyway, so....

Adding glasses to the equation for no reason just makes things worse. Believe me, I have to wear glasses because of extreme astigmatism.
