Hi,

I had very good seeing conditions to make this drawing. The A and B rings were noticeably brighter on the right side of the drawing.

This is probably my most accurate Saturn sketch to date.

Thanks, Sol Robbins

Sol,

An excellent and highly detailed observation of Saturn. The globe detail appears as in my latest views of the planet quite accurately. The difference in brightness of the rings (A and B) over the ansae (opposite ends or curves) has been recorded in the past. Please keep up the great work.

Hi and Happy New Year!

I only use 2 pencils, a 4H and a 2B. For Saturn's C ring, I use a white color pencil over a black background and a light gray for the A ring.

Thanks, Sol Robbins
