I had decent views of Jupiter tonight in the 20". The moons were distinct disks and there was lots of detail in the bands. There were also about 7 stars surrounding Jupiter and its moons in about 1/4 degree field of view.

I also got a very good view of Jupiter and its 4 moons this last Thursday night. All 4 moons were crisp discs and the details in the bands were great. There were so many smaller bands on the upper an lower regions that I could nto be sure how many three were visable.
The best magnification was about 265-320x for detail After that it was empty magnification. The sky was good, but not good enough to take more power.
The Moon was good to 800x though!
Sounds like your viewing was at least as good as mine.
This was with the 14.5" Starmaster.
