I wondered why our bird feeder had gone from needing to be filled twice per day to once every other day!

This morning I spotted this guy in a tree at the end of the garden and later he came down to one of our ponds for a drink. (I thought he might be after the fish at first!)

Can anyone tell me what type of bird he is?

Sorry for the color cast in the photos, I had to shoot throught the window which has a solar film on it.

Thanks!

Definately a Sharp Shinned Hawk. When this guy is around, there are no other birds to be seen. I always find piles of Mourning Dove feathers in my back yard, as this bird plucks his prey prior to dining. They are also things of beauty when in pursuit of prey.
