I was able to go out digiscoping for the first time today.
Boy was that a learning experience! Birds are fast and
I still have not learned how to run my Coolpix 995 yet.
I think this is a Bohemian Waxwing. I am also new to identifying birds as well as working with photos in Photoshop. I have some false color in the photo that must
be comming from my camera or eyepiece. I don't think my TV 76 is to blame.
Anyway I was exited to get this photo eventhough it is not the best.

Another nice one. What a beautiful bird. Once again, I couldn't resist a little playing in Photoshop.
Cheers,
Tyler

BTW - Photoshop has some excellent tools for removing the false color. Just use the sponge tool and choose "desaturate" on the tool details menu.

Very nice, Bryan. As you get more experience, like Ty, you will find that PS can do a lot to improve even very good images. You are off to a great start.

As for the CA, that is probably the TV-76. It is not a true APO, and even extremely expensive APO camera lenses (in the thousands of $$$) can show CA. The jpeg compression algorithms can actually enhance this, which is why many people shoot in RAW mode and then edit the photo before saving.
