My first pic with my D70 and the 80-400mm VR Nikkor I just got from Tyler Allred. It is a Ruffed Grouse taken through my living room window on a cloudy and rainy day. 400mm f5.6 ISO200 at 1/250th. Modest curves/levels/usm in PS6.0.

Welcome Stuart, nice shot.
Tyler has posted some amazing shots with that lens so you should be very happy with it.

Looking good Stuart! Remember to talk nicely to that lens every day... and it will be good to you wink

Here is a sample of what it can do given the right set of circumstances.

Cheers,
Tyler
