DVD-HD R.I.P.

Toshiba announced today they will "no longer develop, make or market the HD DVD format" handing the victory to Sony Blu-Ray

I have been holding off on getting either one until there was a winner. I figured eventually one would top the other and render it obselete. Glad I did wait.

Chris

I purchased the HD-DVD add-on for my XBox-360 and a handful of HD-DVDs early on, so I figured I had paved the way for Blu-Ray.
Sorry, Guys, but it had to be done to settle the format wars.

I can't believe it took so long.
I blame Walmart for prolonging it, by coming out in support of HD-DVD just before Christmas (then of course they recently followed the crowd in support of Blu-Ray).

The only question now, is to wait for Microsoft to release a Blu-Ray add-on or just go ahead and get a PS3?
