10,000 days!!

Since the launch of the Voyager spacecraft!!! 8O 8O 8O 8O

http://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/

Unfortunately I can still well remember the launch and all the excitement of each planetary encounter!!! Where did the years go??!!!???

Some of the summer interns the team has employed were not even born when the spacecraft were launched.

Now I KNOW I am getting old!!!

Cheers,

Maurice

I don't recall the launch. I do recall every flyby, however -- the Voyager flybys have been spaced out throughout my whole coming-of-age time frame and I think substantially influenced me. For me they started when I was in about 6th grade and just starting to look at Jupiter with a crummy 60mm Montgomery Wards refractor. I remember very anxiously awaiting the Uranus flyby my senior year in high school. In college I went to the auditorium in the physics building to watch the incoming images from Neptune live on the big screen.

I'm outta the loop on this one... the first thing space related that I can remember is the Challenger blowing up 8) I was 6!
