This is not something I typically do but I wanted to let everyone know of my experience with Scope City in California. On October 3 I ordered a Imaging Source camera from them. It was one of the models with the new Sony chip so I was informed it would take 6-8 weeks for delivery. At nine weeks I made my first call to them. The man I spoke to told me he would call Imaging Source and get back to me later that day. He didn't. I called him the following week. He told me that with Christmas coming he hadn't had time to call Imaging Source but he would do so and get back to me. Again he didn't. I called him again the week after that and was told something similiar. When it got to 13 weeks I gave up. I called and cancelled my order. He said he would put me in for a refund. The same day I ordered the camera from OPT and had it in 4 days.
Two weeks after I cancelled my order with Scope City I still hadn't received my refund. I called and the lady I spoke with said they were waiting for the owner to sign off on my refund and that it typically took one month to get a refund. I told her I felt that was unexceptable especially considering how long I had waited for the camera. To bottom line it, after almost 6 weeks and repeated calls I finally got my refund. I can honestly say I will never do business with Scope City again.
